Vinted Pay receives UK Electronic Money Institution licence

London, UK, 16 March 2026 – Vinted Pay, Vinted’s dedicated payments business, has received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The licence enables Vinted Pay to issue electronic money and provide payment services in the UK.
Vinted Pay launched in 2023 after obtaining an Electronic Money Institution licence from the Bank of Lithuania. By developing an in-house payment solution, Vinted Pay wants to address the specific needs of Vinted members, and increase operational efficiency.
Modestas Tursa, VP of Payments at Vinted, said: “The FCA’s authorisation is an important step for Vinted Pay in the UK. It strengthens how we can support members with secure, reliable payment and wallet services as we continue to expand.”
Today, Vinted Pay already provides wallet services to members in multiple European countries. When a member successfully sells an item on Vinted, funds are transferred to their Vinted Pay wallet balance. From there, sellers can then use these funds to shop on Vinted or withdraw them to their bank account. With this licence, Vinted Pay can now start offering these services in the UK as well.
Vinted will continue to work with other payment service providers to support secure and seamless payments. Our members in the UK will receive more information before the wallet services are launched.
